In House Design and Development

By using the latest technology in 3D design and analysis in both linear and non linear software, Checkmate can engineer products bespoke to your exacting requirements.

STL models are produced directly for rapid prototyping of castings and injection mouldings, and dramatically reduce lead times for bespoke and new products.

We have found a niche in the safety market by offering products that are not off the shelf, but require modifications and client input.

Testing

Checkmate operates ISO 9001:2000 for the design, test and manufacture of all its products. We are proud of our extensive test facility boasting two dynamic test towers, 75 tonne horizontal tensile machine, synthetic abrasion tester and bespoke anchorage for large scale testing projects such as horizontal lifelines.

Bespoke Solutions

Checkmate Safety welcomes challenging design briefs from clients. The two examples shown to the right serve to highlight how Checkmate are able to design systems that satisfy the demands of health and safety legislation yet are sympathetic to the fabric of the building.

The all stainless steel construction walkway shown below spans over 5 metres of a historic bell tower and is fixed using specially designed anti vibration rubber pads. The walkways had to be manufactured in modular sections due to tight access limitations and physical weight. Once delivered to site Checkmate's installation team used the PED5 work and rescue system combined with the PBH5 riggers harness to position themselves and bolt the walkways together.
