LTM JOINS LEEA
LTM were recently able to join the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA), initially as provisional members.
Despite having 197 "man years" of Lifting equipment experience at LTM, they have allowed a concentrated period of extra training for all of their staff, which will add to their qualifications, LEEA training includes examinations and certification that proves competence.
Four of the LTM staff passed the Part 1 entrance exam which allows them to move onto other courses from September.
Two other staff members are currently undergoing Part 2 training in Lifting Machines Manual and Lifting Machines Power.
Dave King says We have undertaken LEEA training in lifting equipment as this will differentiate us from our competitors. Not only will our staff be better trained but our procedures are independently checked by an independent accessor. We will have access to knowledge from LEEA in best practice, in order to do repairs and servicing of lifting equipment, especially electric chain hoists or motors.
LTM hope to receive full membership in the near future.
LTM MOTOR SCHOOLS
LTM have presented four Motor Schools this year, including two at LTM premises and two in South Africa. The photo shows a recent group shot of a school held at DWR in Johannesburg for Duncan Riley (far right) and his crew and clients, Dave Ward and John Jones had an enjoyable and sunny week, guessing by Johns shorts. The school went very well as you can see from all of the happy smiling faces! The next Motor School is planned for 29th September and 1st October, e-mail or call Alison on alisonJones@liftturnmove.co.uk or 0151 649 0467 for further information
